We are looking for an experienced candidate to join Enterprise Information Services to provide IT Planning and Supply Chain expertise to support Celgene’s Global ERP System. This position is responsible for working with Business Partners, IT, and the Business to support and deliver system solutions. This person will require understanding of end to end business processes of Planning and Supply Chain and how they are implemented in Oracle. This person will provide hands on guidance on business requirements development, solution, system design and delivery with strong Technical & Functional knowledge on VCP & Oracle EBS.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Provide techno-functional support and implement Planning solutions in Oracle VCP
  • Provide day to day hands on problem management, guidance, and support to the team
  • Manage, prioritize, sequence project demand based on resource availability and timelines
  • Ensure end to end understanding of Business Processes and systems solutions
  • Manage requirements development, functional design and technical design
  • Provide recommendations on technology solutions to address business needs
  • Configure, Customize and test Oracle VCP modules
  • Develop and document detailed program specifications, business process models and scenarios
  • Determine the technical, interfacing and operational requirements to resolve Oracle VCP / EBS software issues
  • Lead the configuration and administration of the Oracle VCP as per business and technical requirements
  • Responsible for executing VCP (value chain planning) strategy
  • Participate in post-production software support and problem resolution

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Hands-on experience in Oracle VCP and e-Business Suite (R12) applications
  • Good working knowledge of Oracle e-Business Suite and VCP architecture and the ability to quickly diagnose and solve system problems
  • Hands-on S&OP experience from supporting Supply and/or Demand Planning steps
  • Experience in Oracle Application best practices
  • Strong understanding of Oracle AIM methodology
  • Experience with business process design, key configuration workshops, GAP identification, RICEW identification, Functional Design, Test Planning and Test Execution
  • Knowledge of Oracle R12 VCP applications including Demantra (Demand management, Sales & Operations planning), ASCP-Advance Supply Chain Planning, IO-Inventory Optimization, GOP-Global Order Processing, CP-Collaborative Planning, CBO-Constraint Based Optimization, RP-Rapid Planning, APCC-Advanced Planning Command Center, DRP-Distribution Requirement Planning
  • Knowledge of other Oracle R12 EBS Supply Chain modules including Manufacturing/Procurement/Order Management will be an added advantage
  • Ability to define future business processes around Oracle VCP modules
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Experience working with managed service support vendors
  • Communicate effectively with customers to identify needs and evaluate technical solution alternatives
  • Expertise in delivering solutions with process analysis; process design, mapping, and re-engineering; process/software gap analysis and resolution; troubleshooting and issue resolution with Oracle Applications Value chain planning modules
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
  • Willing to travel internationally and domestically
  • Experience in Pharma industry desired
  • Experience working with Outsourced Manufacturing desired
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills required
  • Must have managed large and small teams reporting directly or indirectly


  • 12+ years of industry work experience including business systems analysis, solution design, and deployment of major ERP Systems
  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle VCP modules (ASCP, Demantra, APCC)
  • 2+ years professional experience within the Pharmaceutical industry
  • Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in a scientific, business or technical field
