Celgene Corporation, a pharmaceutical company, is looking to hire an attorney to join the Research and Early Development Contracts sub-group of Celgene’s legal department. The position will be located at Celgene’s site in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Candidates must have significant contract negotiation and drafting experience and proven ability to develop and implement legal strategies that support business and financial objectives of Celgene’s Research and Early Development.

Qualifications
Must have at least seven (7) years comprehensive experience with pharmaceutical law intellectual property and regulations gained at a highly regarded law firm or through in-house experience within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. Prior work experience in both a law firm and in-house is strongly desired.
J.D. and be admitted to and in good standing with the Massachusetts State Bar or eligible for in-house limited license.
Responsibilities include:
Providing high quality legal advice and support to designated client groups within Celgene Research and Early Development. Analyze legal and commercial risks while supporting the objectives of Research and Early Development.
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal agreements, including contracts for the supply of goods and services, research, strategic alliance, consortium, feasibility, licensing, and other intellectual property related agreements.
Liaise with Celgene in-house counsel, scientist, project teams and outside counsel where appropriate on particular subject matter e.g., intellectual property contractual issues in support of Research and Early Development.
An ability to effectively communicate and partner with legal colleagues is essential.
