Under the direction of Country Manager, this individual will be responsible for maximizing Celgene’s value propositions through medical and scientific projects, services and expertise, for benefit of patients (according to global or EU strategies), coordinating the design and implementation of Medical Affairs programs with Marketing Manager and Key Account Manager. Owner of Medical Affairs execution in the field. The RML may work in close collaboration with other Celgene functions and the role is non-promotional in nature.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Identifies, develops and maintains collaborative relationships with current and future KOLs, Brand Advocates, patients and cooperative groups and key external audiences

2. Deliver scientific interactions in response to unsolicited requests in accordance with the relevant Celgene process

3. Develops and implements local KOL Plans based on identified KOL needs, in accordance with the Celgene Hungary company's plans for individual products

4. Implements and disseminates high quality medical and scientific educational (disease awareness) programs. Prepare/ cooperate in preparation of clinical and scientific presentations and medical documents for KOLs/ /cooperative groups / hospital formularies

5. Collects medical/scientific insights from Medical Experts of the relevant territory related to patient journey, medical considerations during diagnostic and treatment approaches administered in the disease area

6. Identifies new opportunities, implements and follows up Investigator initiated trials and other Medical Affairs activities in health sector, including developing PASS studies

7. Cooperates with the department of clinical studies to ensuring the selection of priority sites for clinical studies sponsored by Celgene

8. Develops required qualitative and quantitative reports. Verifies medical information about competitors

9. Ensures  medical / legal excellence and compliance

10. Provides Medical review and approval of promotional materials in accordance with the relevant Celgene procedures and local legislation

11. Ensures that local Medical Affairs activities are in accordance with the health rules and conditions

12. Delivers scientific trainings to internal colleagues and provides medical insights to relevant Celgene colleagues

13. Attendance at national / international congresses for the purposes of learning and provision of scientific support

14. Cooperates with drug safety department on RMP processes


The knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of this position are typically acquired through the following combination of education, experience and knowledge or the equivalent activities.

Minimum Requirements:

Medical or scientific education (pharmaceutical)

≥ 5 years experience in industry or ≥ 3 years experience in similar role

Network of customer contacts in hematology field

Strong identification with Celgene’s values

Preferred Requirements:

Documented medical or scientific experience in hematology franchise area (e.g. subspecialty certification by the authorities, academic qualifications)

Knowledge of commercialization and business practices

Documented experience in Medical Affairs (and Clinical Development)

Knowledge of Drug Safety, legal and compliance environment, Regulatory Affairs

Knowledge of Health System and decision-making in Health Care

Continuously expanding medical and scientific knowledge as well as market knowledge

Strong Project Management and Medical Affairs skills (clinical data analysis, pharmacology)
